ReBearSea is a classic game of reversi/othello with a twist! What if the pieces could fight back?! With cannons?!

Super chill background music is called Songs of the Sea by Nid, and the UI sound effects are by Fupi on OpenGameArt.org.

Instructions

  • In standard reversi/othello game, a player "flips" the opponent's piece (or ship) by placing their piece on the opposite of their own.
  • All of the opponent's pieces in between the two pieces become their color.
  • A ghost ship image will appear in places where one can place their piece when you mouse over a slot on PC or when you tap a slot on mobile.
  • In ReBearSea, players will get two different ships: Regular ship and Attack ship.
  • Regular ship can only be places, nothing special :(
  • Attack ships have ammo! You can attack other ships after it is places on the board, but they can only carry 1 ammo so check what ship has ammo with the button on the bottom of the screen.
  • Game Ends when the entire board is filled up with no ammo left on any ships.
  • If there are ammo still left, but both players choose to skip their turn twice in a row, then the game ends.
  • Game will also end even if there are spaces left on the board if there are no more valid placement moves or attack moves left.
  • The player with more ships on the board WINS!
  • If both players have the same number of ships at the end, then they TIE.

Super fun, I remember playing othello when I was younger. This is a great twist!

Thank you for playing it and I'm glad it was fun! I played it a lot when I was young too! :)

Very fun. Would love to see more types of ships later!

Thank you for playing! This is just a little concept game so it won't be expanded, but who knows what the future holds? :)
